  • Zschommler, Christiane: National Gallery, Berlin

    Zschommler, Christiane: National Gallery, Berlin

    Est: €350 - €500

National Gallery, Berlin. 1990s. Chromogenic color print flush-mounted to Fomex. Circa 79 x 79 cm. Signed by the photographer on the verso, framed under plexiglas in black wooden frame (81 x 81 cm). Born in East Berlin, Christiane Zschommler studied photography and multimedia at the College of West London. She describes herself as a creative photographer, with an intuitive and original approach to her work. Working mainly in medium format, she experiments with double exposure, using both color and black and white negatives. This working method of effectively 'sandwiching' images together can transform a normal subject into something unfamiliar. – In excellent condition.
