Lynn Zimmerman Art for Sale and Sold Prices

My paintings are inspired by the natural landscape and my camera is a constant companion. Growing up on a ranch in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia I spent many hours outdoors on horseback. What a way to see nature, so unobtrusive, natural, and what freedom.

I had the good fortune to be educated in design and illustration when everything was ‘hands on’. After graduation from Capilano University I was hired as their graphic designer. My independent nature thrived in that environment of creative challenges, interesting projects, and wonderful co-workers.

I then began freelance design and photo journalism, and later founded my drawing and painting school BellinghamART. Teaching so many children, teens and adults and fostering their art education has given me immense pleasure and the good fortune to pursue what I love most, drawing and painting.”

Painting is my personal connection to the natural landscapes that surround us all. One of my favorite places on Earth is the interior of British Columbia, with an authentic lifestyle that enjoys the clean beauty of plateaus, rolling hills, and open skies.

Travel south on Chuckanut Drive, and a world of big sky, endless waterways, and a landscape of many shades will unfold. The Skagit Valley estuary offers an always-changing landscape that shares its beauty with those who will truly look.

My desire is to share through painting the simple shapes, subtle colors, and endless beauty of the Nooksack River Delta. This is my source of creative inspiration, a world of waterways, rivers, creeks, estuaries, and drainage ditches.
