Kasper Zier Art for Sale at Auction

Kasper Zier is a danish artist living and working in Dublin. As the grandchild of Painter Wolmer Zier and with numerous other artists in his family he has always been attracted to drawing and painting, and felt it natural to continue the family tradition. Although he has worked professionally as a graphic designer, he has throughout the years produced various paintings and has held exhibitions in Denmark and Ireland.

His painting style has a fresh and spontaneous feel to it. Rather than painting every detail in his subjects he tries to capture the light and mood of the scene. He does this with free expressive brush strokes that gives the final artwork a uniquely loose character. He enjoys painting a varied amount of motives but has recently found great interest in painting cityscapes. He says *Painting the different seasons is not only the task of the landscape artist but can just as well be captured within an urban environment."

Kasper Zier has been a resident of Ireland since 2001.
