Wojciech Zasadni Art for Sale and Sold Prices

“His excellent project, Covers, has been one of the best Polish statements in the debate on pop culture and mass media – their temptations and impunity in selling cliches,” writes Pawel Stremski on his influential blog. In his work, Zasadni deals with man’s consumerist instincts, which he depicts in an ironic, and sometimes outright malicious, fashion. He practices performance art, sculpture, installation art, and video. He is an actor of the Warsaw-based theatre group Academia. In 1991, he graduated from the Antoni Kenar High School in Zakopane. He is a graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts' Faculty of Sculpture, with a degree in the studio of Prof. Jan Kucz (1999). He lives and works in Warsaw.
