After that, she received her artistic education at the School of Applied Art/Kunstgewerbeschulefrom 1917 to 1924 from Oskar Strnad, Alfred Böhm, Alfred Roller, Erich Mallina, Wilhelm Müller-Hofmann, and Adele Stark and in 1923/24 from Josef Hoffmann at the workshop for enamel painting. She acquired her own furnace and produced enamel vessels and later mostly enamel pictures. In 1926, she was commissioned to decorate a little chapel near Heiligenblut with frescoes. The women artists' association "Wiener Frauenkunst" accepted her as a member. She regularly participated in the exhibitions of "Wiener Frauenkunst", some of which were held in the space of the Hagenbund. In 1929, she exhibited at the Hagenbund on a guest ticket. For her works created in Paris she received the Prize of the City of Vienna/Preis der Stadt Wien in the summer of 1930. The Hagenbund co-opted her as a member while she was already considered a great new hope among young artists. In 1927, she stayed in southern France, and in 1928 she travelled to England, invited by friends. There, she made the acquaintance of a lady who became her patron. This enabled her to spend some time in Ireland and, starting in 1930, to afford a studio in Paris. Immediately before her first one-person show in Fance, she died of a gastric disease. The art world largely forgot about her, until she was duely rediscovered in connection with the great Hagenbund exhibition of the Austrian Gallery/to the high quality of the artist's work, are known to exist. Counts among the so-called lost or forgotten generation. Attended the Technical School for Textile Industry in Vienna, 1917 to 1924 training at the School of Arts and Crafts with Oskar Strnad, Alfred Böhm, Alfred Roller, Erich Mallina, Wilhelm Müller-Hofmann, Adele Stark. 1923/1924 in the workshop for enamel painting with Josef Hoffmann, then his own workshop for enamel work. Exhibited as a guest and associate member of the Hagenbund. Member of the artists' association Wiener Frauenkunst. In the 1920s travels to Paris, southern France and England. 1930 Studio in Paris, friendship with Josef Floch. Created mainly landscapes, still lifes, portraits, genre and history paintings, and frescoes. Influence of Josef Floch and Georg Merkel recognizable. Zach attended the Technical School for the Textile Industry in Vienna and then received her training at the School of Applied Arts from 1917 to 1924 with Oskar Strnad, Alfred Böhm, Alfred Roller, Erich Mallina, Wilhelm Müller-Hofmann, Adele Stark and from 1923 to 1924 with Josef Hoffmann in the workshop for enamel painting. She acquired her own kiln and made vessels from enamel, later mainly enamel pictures. In 1926 she was commissioned to paint frescoes in a small prayer chapel near Heiligenblut. The artists' community "Wiener Frauenkunst" accepted her as a member. She regularly took part in the exhibitions of "Viennese women's art", some of which took place in the rooms of the Hagenbund. In 1929 she exhibited as a guest in the Hagenbund and later became an extraordinary member. In 1927 she stayed in southern France and in 1928, following an invitation from friends, went to England, where she found a patron. This enabled her further stays in Ireland and a studio in Paris, which she maintained from 1930. In the summer of 1930 she received the Prize of the City of Vienna for her works created in Paris. Shortly before her first solo exhibition in France, she died of a stomach ailment. After her death, Zach was initially forgotten, only to be rediscovered in the large Hagenbund exhibition at the Österreichische Galerie Belvedere. She first appeared in public with enamels in an exhibition on Christian art (Vienna Secession, 1925), in the Paris International Arts and Crafts Exhibition (1925), in the European Arts and Crafts exhibition (Leipzig 1927), and in the exhibition Neue christliche Kunst (Munich, Crystal Palace, 1927). Later she also practiced fresco painting, executing wall paintings for a chapel on the Großglockner mountain range, in Reitenau Castle (Styria), and in the villa of Dr. Pelzer in Hietzing in Vienna. In 1928 she undertook a study trip to Ireland, and in 1929 travelled to Corsica via Avignon. In 1930 she settled in Paris, where she participated in the Salon d'automne with four paintings. In 1928 she executed portraits of her mother and of the sculptor Santifaller, a self-portrait, and the group portrait The Family; in 1930 she did another self-portrait (repr. in: Kunst und Künstler, 29 [1930/31] 403), Still Life with a Red Cloth, and French Working-Class Women (owned by the das Wiener Städtische Sammlungen). In a number of Compositions she attempted to deal with figural problems that had been adressed in recent exhibitions on French art (May 1931, Wiener Hagenbund) and Viennese women artists (October 1932).
