(許鴻磐)前在宛陵,得接謦欬,發蒙啟蔽,獲益寶多,竊嘆求友數十年,僅得一先生,又轉幸求友數十年,萃得一先生也…蓋書經,秦火以後,或致殘件,故漢者求經皆不能明言。黑水之所在,似當存,而不論前所云,考定外域諸國已為攜赴都門,所有舊圖跋數紙,略存梗概寄呈左右…佈候近祉續不宣,弟許鴻磐頓首。 (初彭齡)前奉朵雲,未及裁答,竊以苔岑臭味,諒具同心,雖尺素稽遲,定邀鑑茹…先生讀禮之餘,不為駢體,即此言規行矩,已裕師資。不勝欽佩之至…專此,佈覆即候素履,諸唯雅照不備。同學弟初彭齡頓首。 注:本冊為乾嘉文人書予凌凌廷堪信札集。 (1)淩廷堪,字仲子,一字次仲,安徽歙縣人。乾隆五十五年(1791)進士,例授知縣,自請改為教職。少賦異稟,讀書十目一行,工詩及駢散文,兼為長短句,并擅於音律。因仰慕其同鄉江永、戴震學術,於是究心于經史。之後一度主講敬亭、紫陽二書院,後受阮元聘請,為其子阮常生師。凌廷堪的哲學思想接續戴震思想「以禮代理」,是清代理學遭拋棄,從而轉重禮儀的代表人物,師友、桃李滿天下,本幅即可略見其交友圈之廣闊,除同鄉程瑤田、牛坤、金榜外,阮元、洪亮吉、孫星衍、焦循等江蘇經學家亦往來頻繁,並與當時北方經學界如翁方綱、武億等有相互審書研經之好。 (2) 謝啟昆(1737-1802),字良壁,號蘊山,又號蘇潭。歷鄉試主考、知府等,為當時政績卓著的地方官,修撰經史甚多,與翁方綱、姚鼐、錢大昕交好。 (3) 金榜(1735-1801),安徽歙縣人,乾隆三十七年(1765)狀元,授翰林院修撰,曾任山西省鄉試、京都會試副主考官,從江永學經,與戴震、程瑤田同學,又從桐城劉大櫆學古文,書法宗二王,精思博學,著《禮箋》10卷。 (4) 許鴻磐,字漸逵,山東濟寧州人。乾隆四十六年(1718)進士。官指揮,改安徽同知。博涉群書,尤精史學,公務之餘以著書為事,著有《六觀樓遺文》二卷與《尚書劄記稿》四卷等 (5) 武億(1745-1799),字虛谷,又字授堂,河南偃師人。乾隆四十五年(1780)進士,任博山知縣。居官僅七個月,主修《魯山縣誌》與《安陽縣誌》,又主講臨清州青源書院及鄧州春風書院。創辦范泉書院。著有《經讀考異》、《群經義証》、《偃師金石記》、《授堂詩鈔》等。
