(foundry Vicente Enrique Ríos) on the left shoulder The front with inscriptions 'Recuerdo de mi querido padre' and 'Excmo. Sr. Dn. Ramón Aranaz' respectively Height: 35 and 38.5 cm Good condition The two bronze works were by the Spanish artist Antonio Yerro Feltrer. The slightly smaller bust represents the father of the artist, as indicated in the inscription above the base 'Recuerdo de mi querido padre' (memory of my beloved father). The other bust is a portrait of Senior Don Ramón Aranaz. The latter was a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish railway company MZOV (Compañía del Ferrocarril de Medina a Zamora y de Orense a Vigo), which operated from 1862 to 1928. The bronzes were cast in the foundry of Vicente Enrique Ríos in Valencia. Between 1875 and 1890 the latter executed numerous bronzes of famous personalities, including King Alfonso XII of Spain and his wife Maria Christina of Austria. The two bronzes are each signed 'A. Yerro' on the right shoulder and inscribed 'V Rios fundio.' on the left shoulder. Both are in good condition with some signs of age. There are only traces of a dark patina left. The height is 35 and 38.5 cm respectively. Antonio Yerro Feltrer (1842-1911) Antonio Yerro Feltrer was born in Valencia in 1842. From 1856 onwards he attended the Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos. Between 1878 and 1879 he participated in the exhibitions of the Lo Rat Penat where he was honored with several awards. In 1888 he was awarded the Order of Isabel la Católica.
