Framed Sydney Janis Yard (1855-1909) oil on board painting depicting a herd of sheep grazing in a field. Signed lower left, "S.J.Yard". Dimensions: 9"h x 12.5"w; (overall) 17.5"h x 20.75"w. Yard initially worked in New York but traveled to California and started a photography business with Arthur Putnam Hill. They both later switched to painting, primarily landscapes. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $50.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
