Unikales Künstlerbuch. – Ulrich Wüst (geboren 1949) lebte und arbeitete seit 1984 als freischaffender Fotograf in Ost-Berlin und Mecklenburg. Ab Mitte der 1980er Jahre wurden seine Arbeiten in der DDR, bald darauf auch in der Bundesrepublik und international ausgestellt und publiziert. – Die Aufnahmen entstanden in dem leerstehenden Gebäude des vormaligen Vorzeigebetriebs der DDR an der Wilhelminenstraße in Berlin-Oberschöneweide. Wüst fotografierte leerstehende Büros und Produktionshallen, skurrile Details und zahlreiche Pin-up-Girls. – Auf einseitig weiß gestrichene Kartonblätter montiert, die zu einem Leporello montiert wurden. Signed, titled and dated by the photographer in black marker on the verso. - - Ulrich Wüst is a photographer of cities and urban spaces. After training and working as an urban planner in the GDR, Wüst became known for his photographic essays of Berlin Mitte, Magdeburg, Altenburg and many other places. In his extensive series of images on architecture and urban planning, he has documented seemingly sober, matter-of-fact, and cool interior views of the GDR since the 1970s. After the fall of the Wall, the remnants, the legacies of this time moved into his focus. Several times between 1990 and 1992, he chose the interior of the Bülowssiege manor house in the Uckermark as a motif.
