    etching, approx. 45 x 70 cm Published by Domenico de Rossi. Beautiful, clear impression on laid paper. Trace of usual central fold, discolored paper along the fold. Oxidized paper, a lack in the lower right corner. Overall in good condition but the print has not been examined out of frame (61 x 87 x 2 cm).

Unterhalb der Darstellung ausführlich betitelt "La Piazza del Popolo abbellita con li nuovi edifici et veduta della città di Roma come si trova al presente" sowie "Veduta e Prospetto della Piazza della sacrosanta Basilica Lateranense Madre e Capo di tutte le chiese del mondo christiano". "La Piazza del Popolo" bezeichnet "G. Wouters Cavalier Delin. et Sculp." u.li. Jeweils mit dem Sammlungsstempel "Museum Univers. Vratisl." versehen. Erschienen bei Domenico de Rossi. "Piazza del Popolo": Le Blanc IV, 3; "Basilica Lateranense" nicht bei Le Blanc.

    nach. Blick auf die Piazza Navona mit St. Agnese und dem Vierströmebrunnen (Piazza Navona antico circo agonale dell'imperatore... ). Radierung nach Caspar van Wittel (?). 44,2 x 69,4 cm. Um 1693. Hollstein vgl. 3. Wz. Bekröntes Lilienwappen mit Nebenmarke DS. Hollstein verzeichnet eine von Claes Visscher verlegte Kopie nach der Darstellung "Piazza Navona" Wouters mit reicheren Staffagefiguren, die eine Bildunterschrift in niederländischer Sprache hat. Unser Blatt hingegen führt eine italienische Bildunterschrift, die in den Majuskeln denen der originalen Darstellung gleicht, sodass es sich möglicherweise um eine nicht im Hollstein verzeichnete Variante handelt (siehe Hollstein 3). Wir konnten kein anderes Exemplar unserer Variante nachweisen. - Prachtvoller und äußerst kräftiger Abzug mit schmalem Rand um die teils gratig zeichnende Plattenkante. Im äußeren weißen Rand nur geringfügig gebräunt, leichte vertikale Mittelfalte, dies unten leicht gesprungen sowie ein weitere kleiner Randeinriss unten, verso zwei vertikale Falzspuren, an einer mit kleinen Resten der alten Albumbindung, sonst sehr gut erhalten. Sehr selten.
