    Microscope No 71569. W. Watson & Sons Ltd, 313 High Holborn, London. W.c.1 11/14/1940. Table showing magnifications in diameter with body length of 160mm(6.3 in). Microscope secured by a screw through the bottom of the case. Comes in a vintage wood box with turn key insert.

    Frank Watson Wood, snr. (1862-1953) "DUNKIRK" signed, inscribed and dated 1944 watercolour 25.5 x 36cms; 10 x 14in. NB Although attributed to Wood, snr., this watercolour may in fact be the work of his son Frank Watson Wood, jnr. (1900-1985), whose style is almost indistinguishable from that of his father. Wood, jnr., saw active service with the Black Watch, whose first, fourth and sixth battalions were engaged in this campaign.
