  • DELUXE ANGELO BEE ENGRAVED MARLIN MODEL 1893 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.
    Mar. 10, 2003

DELUXE ANGELO BEE ENGRAVED MARLIN MODEL 1893 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.

    Est: $3,500 - $5,000

Cal. 32 Special. Originally a deluxe take down with 26" oct to round bbl, full magazine, checkered pistol grip stock and forearm with crescent steel buttplate. Wood is beautiful and about 3X. It has been spectacularly engraved by master engraver Angelo Bee. The receiver is engraved with game scene panels, French gray in the background, with the left being a gold inlaid bull caribou fighting off to gold wolves, in a mountain and tundra scene. Right side panel has a gold bull moose being taken down by a gold grizzly bear in a tundra and mountain scene. The balance of the receiver is covered with very fine foliate and floral arabesque pattern engraving with punch dot background. The receiver side panels, front and back edge of the receiver, top tang, sides of the lever and receiver extensions have gold wire borders. The chamber end of the bbl has two gold bands and the muzzle one. The engraving extends 1-3/4" over the chamber and about 3" on the top flat. The takedown ring is also engraved, as is the crescent buttplate. Hammer is matching engraved on the sides with gold wire inlay. The caliber on the bbl, model number on the tang, serial number and "MARLIN SAFETY" are all gold inlay. The trigger is gold plated. The engraving is signed on the left side of the receiver. SN 139530. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retains virtually all of its beautiful custom finish to both metal and wood. Strong bore with moderate pitting. 4-48441 JR321 (Dr. Ladd Heldenbrand Est.).

  • WINCHESTER MODEL 1893 PUMP SHOTGUN.
    Oct. 07, 2002

    WINCHESTER MODEL 1893 PUMP SHOTGUN.

    Est: $1,000 - $2,000

Cal. 12ga. Scarce early shotgun with 26" plain bbl, 3-screw ribbed forearm and semi-pistol grip stock with round knob and smooth steel buttplate. Accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum letter identifying this shotgun indicating that it was shipped August 11, 1894 and returned May 17th, 1901. SN 12020. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbl appears to have been factory refinished, likely when it was returned in 1901. Receiver retains about 98% strong original bright blue. Wood is sound and retains virtually all its original bright varnish with a chip in the forearm and small insignificant handling and storage marks. Buttplate retains about all of its original bright blue. Brilliant, shiny bore. 4-46862 JR208.
