This collection has never been made accessible to public. On his 95'th birthday he decided to dispose of his Asian art collection which will be sold by Singapore International Auction in a number of sales this year. Died in June 2002 at the age of 83, he was known as one of the most influential Javanese painters of the 20th century, but the painter gave birth to students of modern and contemporary painters, and his mother was a batik maker. He got a lot of inspiration from his childhood experiences. When he was a child, he often watched his mother make batik while listening to stories from Javanese mythology, which gave him a lot of inspiration for his paintings in adult hood.

Widajat 91（右下） Ikan Laut Dalam is a deep sea fish, the most common being anglerfish or lanternfish. Widayat illustrates a big and small fish against a dark background, which is accurate as such fishes live below the sunlit surface of the water. The fishes look terrifying and dangerous, they have spiky details for their teeth, scales, and fins. Their eyes have a hint of green with a red pupil. Their mouths are wide open, exposing their sharp teeth, looking ready to devour. The dark background has some light shadows around the edges of the painting. Died in June 2002 at the age of 83, he was known as one of the most influential Javanese painters of the 20th century, but the painter gave birth to students of modern and contemporary painters。 来源：Dr. Maier bought his first painting at the Nagel Auction in1952. He still keeps the original invoice as a memento. During his 70-year collection career,he learned from the painter himself and museum professionals，and has a very high ability to appreciate and collect oil paintings,Over the years he built up an impressive collection of the modern visual arts, which is now located in Indonesia. This collection has never been made accessible to public. On his 95'th birthday he decided to dispose of his Asian art collection which will be sold by Singapore International Auction in a number of sales this year.
