The painting here depicts a boatman casting a line near the mill and is reminiscent of a painting he did entitled "View of Pont Aven, Brittany". With important label on the back which reads "Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo, Ohio, Inaugural Exhibition 1912", so this piece was done by Whiting and became one of the first pieces exhibited at the museum.
