The Oracle's breastplate mirror is now at the Liverpool Museum, having been removed by Percival Langdon during his visit to the Monastery. It was subsequently owned by White. See: https://objectlessonsfromtibetblog.wordpress.com/objects-in-focus/august-1904-nechung-oracles-breastplate/ for an excellent account, illustrated with another copy of the present image from the Liverpool collection. John Claude White was assigned (somewhat against his will) to Younghusband's Tibet Frontier Commission. His photography of Tibet is of an exceedingly high standard, and he was "probably one of the last, and certainly among the most impressive products of a tradition of quasi-amateur photography which had flourished among administrators and military personnel in India since the 1850's." - John Falconer.
