Tog. 4 19th-cent. handcol. lithographs by P.W. van de Weijer (Utrecht, ca. 1850). All ca. 40 x 49 cm. All behind passepartout & framed (behind glass). (4x) ¶ Ad 1-4: Very rare large-sized lithographs (dep. various horses) by the Dutch print-maker Pieter Wilhelmus van de Weijer (or Weyer, 1816-1880) after drawings by an unidentified artist. In 1834 Van de Weijer started with his brother Johannes Hermanus van de Weijer (1817-1889) a lithographic printing office in Utrecht. In 1840 his brother moved to Groningen and started his own business there. ¶ Ad 1-4: Vague vertical fold in the middle, sl. foxed/ browned (not examined out of frame). ¶ Ad 4: Large tear & dam. spot in upper part (with loss of paper).
