Even as a child, she developed her own forms and expression techniques, the focus of which was her connection to nature. In 1947, she found a job as a handicraft teacher in Landl in Ennstal, Styria. In watercolours, graphics and reverse glass paintings, gouaches, ceramics and mixed casting techniques, she created earthy works of art using natural materials, without rigid lines. In 1976, Weißensteiner created a three-part window sash for what was then the Großreifling elementary school. Weißensteiner's work has been shown nationally and internationally in over 50 galleries and exhibition spaces, including: in New York, Augsburg, Belgium, Vienna, Graz, Klagenfurt, Salzburg, Steyr and Leoben. In particular, she tried to pass on and promote the understanding of art and enthusiasm for fine art in her home region with numerous exhibitions around Landl, in the Silvanum Forest Museum, Moarhofstadl Palfau, Eisenerz City Museum, St. Gallen Cultural Festival and Admont Abbey. On the occasion of her 90th birthday in 2017, the cultural department of the municipality of Landl honoured their artist with the anniversary exhibition "Naturdynamik im unteren Ennstal" (Natural Dynamics in the Lower Ennstal) as part of the Landler Kulturtage (Landl Culture Days). PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price consists of the highest bid plus the buyer's premium, sales tax and, if applicable, the fee of artists resale rights. In the case of normal taxation (marked ° at the estimate), a premium of 24% is added to the highest bid. The mandatory sales tax is added to the sum of the highest bid and the buyer's premium. This amounts to 13% for paintings, drawings, graphic works and sculptures and 20% for photographs and all other items. The buyer's premium amounts to 28% in case of differential taxation. The sales tax is included in the differential taxation.
