        This Hitler portrait print is by the well known artist Kunz Weidlich (1878-1940). In a period frame under glass and is 171/2" x 14 1/4". The print shows some foxing and staining. The frame has some chips to black lacquer finish. This type of portrait was used in public buildings in the Third Reich. Hard to find and in nice display condition. The present oil painting was made by the German history painter Kunz Weidlich and shows a parade of the Cheveau-légers Regiment in honor of Prince Albert of Thurn and Taxis. The work was painted in a late-Impressionist style and surprises by its high level of details and vivid composition. The painting is signed upper right 'KUNZ WEIDLICH'. It is titled in German lower center. It is in good overall condition considering its age. Inspection under UV light only reveals scattered areas of retouching. The cardboard measures 39 x 54.5 cm. The frame shows only light marks and measures 65 x 81 cm. (cbo) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
