Margot Weemaes Art for Sale at Auction

Margot Weemaes was born in Louvain on June 11, 1909 and died in Brussels on September 27, 1993. She trained in La Cambre in Brussels where she took the book illustration classes at Joris Minne. From 1932 and until 1987, uninterrupted studies of engraving at the Cabinet of Prints of the Royal Library of Belgium. Typography studies at the Plantin Museum in Antwerp. She also worked at the Academia Belgica in Rome in 1939-1940, during which time she studied at the Estampes' Cabinet of that city.
