She studied at the Massachusetts School of Art, the Teachers College, Columbia University (B.S.), and with Henry B. Snell and Arthur Woelfle. She was a member of the Albany Institute of History and Art, the Southern Vermont Artists Club, and the National Arts Club. She was a lecturer on art and travel, as well as, a painter. She was known to have lived in Northfield, Massachusetts; Croton Falls, New York; and West Brattleboro, Vermont. She exhibited at the Allied Artist of America, 1941, at the National Arts Club 1931-1948, at the Vendome Gallery 1941, at the Tomorrow's Masterpieces 1943' at the Springfield Art League 1947, at the Baer Gallery 1948-1950, at the Southern Vermont Artists Club 1954-1958, at the Artists Upper Hudson 1948-1950, at the Albany Institute of History and Art 1948 (solo), in Bedford, New York 1948, 1950, 1952, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, 1948, 1957, in Pawling, New York, 1949, in New Canaan, Connecticut, 1949, in Ridgefield, Connecticut 1950-1952, in Northfield, Massachusetts, 1931(solo), 1950, and at the Northfield School for Girls, 1955. Bernice M. Webster died in West Brattleboro, Vermont in November of 1985.
