    5 original pencil sketches of birds, 137 x 108 mm to 202 x 127 mm (sheet size), signed ("W.A. Weber" and W.A.W."), four dated December 20, 1930, the fifth dated January 8, 1932, toning to four sheets, short tear to one edge, old mount mark to verso of each. Walter's long career as a wildlife illustrator included publications in dozens of books and zoological periodicals, as well as a series of stamps issued by the National Wildlife Federation. He variously served as the chief scientific illustrator for the National Park Service, an ornithologist at the US National Museum, and staff artist and naturalist for the National Geographic Society.
