        John Dawson Watson 1832 - 1892. Pair of Watercolours Titled ''Studies of Characters from Shakespeare'' Signed and dated 1884. Each measures 11 x 16 inches. Provenance: By descent from the estate of Henry Boddington J.P. 1813 - 1886. Brewer of Manchester. Boddington was a friend and patron of Watson and collected a large portfolio of his work. Similar painting of these were later taken from the portfolio to decorated the Castle Hotel, Conwy.
