Literature: Richard Stillman Powell, Mary Mapes Dodge, ed., "The Arrival of Jimpson," in St. Nicholas-An Illustrated Magazine for Young Folks, Volume XXVI, Part I, November 1898 to April 1899, p. 2 (illus.), 10. N.B. The present work illustrates a fictional Harvard-Yale game, where Jimpson, a sub-in for an injured Harvard halfback, barrels through on a play for a touchdown, securing Harvard's win.
