Tony Walton, dated l.r. 1956 ink & wash 47.5 x 19.5cm / 183/4 x 73/4in unframed, mounted Anthony Walton's connection to the first ever Broadway Production of My Fair Lady was through Julie Andrews, his childhood sweetheart who he married three years after the show was first produced. These caricatures provide an intimate glimpse behind the scenes of the production, executed as they were not as formal costume designs but humorous sketches by one with privileged access to the cast.
