    CHARLES WALTNER PORTAIT OF MADAME

    Est: -

Portrait of Madame is an original artwork realized by Charles Waltner in the second half of the XX century. Etching on paper. Hand-signed by the artist on the lower right corner of the plate. On the lower right of the portrait, there is the original dedication of the artist "à Monsieur Wibart bien cordialement l'auteur Charles Waltner". Very good conditions. The artwork represents a very beautiful portrait of an elegant and chic madame. The female figure is characterized by a great freshness and by an elegant and refined dress. The strokes define the volumes of her body, inserted into an oval frame. The woman is holding a flower, while her hairstyle is elaborate and classy. The etching was realized by the French engraver Charles Albert Waltner (Paris, 1846 - Paris, 1925). He was the son of Charles Jules Waltner (1820 - 1911). He attended the School of Fine Arts of Paris. In 1868, he obtained the Prix de Rome for graphic work. 55 x 35 (foglio), 40.5 x 29 (image)
