        Edgar Walter (1877-1938) Presentation Bronze Julius Haug Stanford 1933. Haug, a noted Bay Area musician and director of the Stanford University Symphony. Presented by members of "The Family" a private social club organization similar to the Bohemian Club. The Family is based in Woodside, California and the stork is the club's symbol. Haug was also a violist in the San Francisco Symphony in addition to his position at Stanford university. Signed. Excellent original patina. 11.5"d. Hillard and Co. installed in 1923, each depicting seahorses, original to the Steinhart Aquarium, Golden Gate Park, 22"h. Note: Artist name and Caster were provided in a statement by Lewis P. Hobart, Architect on April 27, 1922, these examples were made for the Steinhard as additional sculptural balusters, but never drilled for installation
