The painting has presumably been created in a bay as a coastline can be seen in the distance to the left. The sea mirrors the soft light of the sky and thus a harmonic composition in blue, white and rose tones is being created according to the rhythm of the waves. The painting is visually very appealing, yet the canvas is very thin in places and shows several patches to the back. Few touch ups as well as small holes and abrasions are identifiable. The frame is in very good condition. The painting is signed in the lower left "Waldegg". The overall dimensions measure 91.5 x 109 cm, the dimensions of the canvas is 79 x 97 cm.
