      1st item: Harold Wahl (WA/MN, 1898-1980) mixed media on board, signed lower right. Titled and dated en verso, FRESH SNOW IN THE CEDARS #5 1976. Sight: 23 1/4" H x 47 1/2" W, Stained wooden frame: 27 7/8" H x 52 1/8" W. 2nd item: Harold Wahl (WA) mixed media on board, signed lower right. Titled and dated en verso, FOG IN AUTUMN WOODS #6 1975. Sight: 35 3/8" H x 47 1/4" W, Stained wooden frame: 40 1/2" H x 52 1/2" W. Harold Wahl worked in the newspaper and magazine business in CA and WA as a cartoonist and worked in the family retail business during the Depression. He served in WW II on Amchitka Island in the aleutian Islands where he continued to paint. His work evolved from early near photographic images to becoming purely abstract with his main focus being the dynamic force of nature.
