      Oil on strong cardboard Germany, presumably 1920s Louise Wagner (1875-1950) – German painter and graphic artist Monogrammed lower left ‘LW.’ Overall dimensions: 43.5 x 38.2 cm Good condition Quickly and skillfully the artist has captured the portrait of a man with a green hat. He is shown in frontal view in a merely indicated room. His gaze is directed past the beholder into the distance. Louise Wagner (1875-1950) was educated at Munich's private school for Graphic Arts under John Brockhoff and Moritz Heymann. In addition, she studied further in Königsberg and Travemünde and studied a semester in Weimar. In addition to landscapes and cityscapes of her North German homeland, the artist also created many portraits. The oil painting is monogrammed lower left ‘LW.’. It is in good condition with minor signs of age. It measures 43.5 x 38.2 cm. (fea) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance. His gaze is directed straight at the viewer. Louise Wagner (1875-1950) was educated at Munich's private school for Graphic Arts under John Brockhoff and Moritz Heymann. In addition, she studied further in Königsberg and Travemünde and studied a semester in Weimar.
