Öl auf Leinwand. Unten rechts signiert: V. Vignon. 46 × 38 cm. Provenienz: Süddeutsche Privatsammlung. Die in dieser Sammlung vorgestellten Gemälde von Victor Vignon zeigen dessen Entwicklung als Landschaftsmaler des 19. Jahrhunderts, der sich zu Beginn seiner Schaffensphase noch am Stil und den Motiven der Maler von Barbizon orientierte, hin zu einem Impressionisten der ersten Stunde. In den Gemälden "Le troupeau de moutons" (Los 3239) und "La maison du cantonnier" (Los 3240) sind noch gut die Einflüsse der Barbizonisten insbesondere in der Farbpalette, den Motiven und der Behandlung der Maloberfläche zu erkennen. Vignons "Getreideschober in einer Sommerlandschaft" hingegen ist in expressiv leuchtenden Farben und mit pastosem Farbauftrag gemalt und zeigt uns ein Motiv, das auch zahlreiche weitere Impressionisten wie Claude Monet (1840–1926) oder Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890) gerne aufgriffen. Dieses dekorative Werk verdeutlicht uns Vignons Klasse als früher impressionistischer Landschaftsmaler und rundet die auf den vorangegangenen Seiten vorgestellte Kunstsammlung passend ab. Vignon' (lower right), signed again 'Vignon' (on the stretcher); framed in gilded frame with a copper nameplate by Heijdenrijk. Several tiny spots of surface grime, some minor stable craquelure, several small retouches (mainly in the sky and along the edges), otherwise in very good condition.
