Born in 1946 in Greenville BC, artist Henry Roy Vickers is one of Canada’s most successful and prolific artists. Vickers' use of spiritual symbols in his artwork was taught to him by his grandfather, a First Nation canoe carver. In 1972, Vickers studied at the Gitanmaax School of Northwest Coast Indian Art in Hazelton, BC.

Vickers' silkscreen artwork utilizes bold, primary colors and the rich imagery of the First Nation.
