Laurent Verron was born in Grenoble on May 25th, 1962, and began his professional life in 1985 as a layout artist for an advertising agency. Self-taught, Verron displays influences from a number of comics greats, ranging from artists from the Journal de Mickey to the contributors of the magazine Spirou.

After a brief stint in an advertising agency, he joined Brussels in 1986 , becoming Jean Roba's assistant. This collaboration lasted three years, until 1989. He seconded it for Boule et Bill's albums: "Bill's Tickets", "V'là Boule et Bill", "Seed of Cocker" and "Faut Rigoler". He also participates in small didactic albums "I learn time ..." (1990). But he dreams of animating his own comic book, and, following a meeting with the publisher Claude Lefrancq, Verron publishes in 1991 "Le Maltais" on a scenario of Loup Durand . He then directs three episodes of this series.

In 1994, with the scriptwriter Yann , he proposes to Lombard the exotic and humorous adventures of the father-missionary Odilon Verjus, to whom the Vatican entrusts the most delicate and ungrateful tasks.

Finally, Laurent Verron was nominated in 2003 as a draftsman for the cover of Boule et Bill (first album: "Quel Cirque" then "La bande à Bill" in 2005 and "Graine de cocker" in 2007).

In 2009, Laurent Verron created a new series written by Chric and titled Fugitives . The first two albums, which will form a complete story, will be published by Dargaud in June and November 2009.
