From a high vantage point the viewer looks down into the valley which is crossed by the river Thaya that defines the border between the states of Austria and the Czech Republic. By using muted pastel colors, the artist creates an effective interplay of light and shadow. The painting is signed lower right ‘Velenovský’. In the area of the sky some retouching visible under UV, otherwise overall in good condition. The painting measures 87 x 91 cm. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
