Oil on canvas painting of a woman in lingerie down on the New Orleans Mardi Gras street parade, through the window of a hotel or brothel. Canvas approximately 24" x 30", framed to 30" x 36. Beatrice Ullrich (American, 1907-1987). Exhibition label verso for, "Directions in American Painting, Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh. 1941." Excellent condition and nicely framed. Ullrich studied under Edward Weston at the Art Institue of Chicago in the 1930s. Part of a large collection of Circus, Carnival and Midway themed artwork, many pieces of which are available in this sale.
