Chloe Tupper Art for Sale and Sold Prices

Chloe Tupper - I have been inspired in my recent works by my family's home and garden. It is an area that I have grown familiar with and enjoy. I have selected things that are important in everyday life, and combined these with plants and flowers from the garden. I want to celebrate things that we often take for granted, the beauty that surrounds us everyday, such as our home and garden, and precious objects. I enjoy working in oil paint on linen, building up the surface in layers of paint. Colour and marks are carefully considered in order to reflect the beauty of my personal world.

I am interested in creating an illusion of a subject through use of colour and paint. I strive to achieve an accurate representation of colour as the base for my painting. I then enhance and imagine further colours to create complexity to the work. I would like to express a certain mood through use of colour. This specific body of work explores my local surrounding landscape, as well as still life which has been stimulated from my garden. In my still lifes, I enjoy working from life, and my landscapes are a combination of working from life as well as from photographs. I begin each painting with applying the basic background colours. I then proceed with building up layers of colours and marks with particular focus on shadows, reflections and texture. The colour and light which I am observing on the subject is particular to the present time.I am interested in creating an illusion of a subject through use of colour and paint.
