Condition A- / A: minor creases at edges; unobtrusive horizontal fold. Paper. Sergio Trujillo Magenat was a painter, muralist, illustrator, ceramicist, sculptor, photographer and designer. Of all the words used to describe his work, the most all-encompassing is Modernist. His graphic work merged elements of the Art Deco movement and the Bauhaus, combined with his signature, elongated figures and distinct typographic style. A prominent polymathic figure in South American art of the 20th century, he was the director of the Decorative Arts Department at the Bogota School of Fine Arts and oversaw publications for the Ministry of National Education. He was also the artistic director of La Revista de las Indias and the children's publication Rin Rin.

The Bolivarian games were initially held in Bogota as part of the city's 400th anniversary celebration. The name commemorates Simon Bolivar, The Liberator, who led independence movements throughout South America and is revered as a hero in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Panama and Bolivia. Beginning in 1938, these six countries competed in various sporting events during a two-week competition was modeled on the Olympic Games. To the best of our knowledge, these rare posters have never appeared on the market before. Eight different designs were created, including boxing, swimming, soccer, wrestling, javelin, discus, tennis and polo.
