Decision at Dawn by Don Troiani. Early morning, Thursday July 2, 1863, Gen. Robert E. Lee surveys the Union position from a tree line along Seminary Ridge, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. While in quiet thought as to his next move, Lt. Col. Charles Marshall, Major John W. Fairfax and Lt. Gen. A.P. Hill await his decision. 1000 signed, serial numbered, limited edition prints were produced; this example is numbered "964/1000" on the bottom right corner. Signed by Troiani on the bottom right corner. The print measures approximately 34" x 31 - 1/4", including the frame. CONDITION: Frame exhibits light wear with scattered small dents and blemishes. Very good overall, ready to hang.

The image depicts Union soldiers of the 16th Michigan as they defend Little Round Top on July 2, 1863, with divisional commander Colonel Strong Vincent standing with a riding crop, ordering the men of the 16th Michigan who were beginning to waiver 'don't give an inch'.
