    Est: $1,200 - $1,800

ANTON TRIEB (1883-1954) SCHOOP & CO. 1920. 50½x36 inches, 128¼x90 cm. Orell Füssli, Zurich. Condition B+: creases and abrasions in margins and image; small repaired tears at edges. Trieb designed a small handful of posters that range in style from a resemblance to Burkhard Mangold, to more simple and straightforward Art Deco representation. This poster, for a rug and fabric store, combines a vivid Art Deco image with a sophisticated layout and is one of his best designs. Trieb was also a painter who was very well regarded for his wildlife watercolors. Das Plakat in der Schweiz p. 259.
