Pauline Townsend (1870-1957) Lake Scene, 1922 oil on board signed and dated 12 x 16 inches framed  Townsend studied at Simpson College in Iowa, and then at the summer school of the Art Institute of Chicago , which was in Saugatuck, MI, with Frederick Fursman and Albert Krehbeil.  It is likely that this work is a Saugatuck scene given the early date.
