This work is from a noteworthy collection of 20th century art acquired primarily from Joan Sonnabend's Obelisk Gallery, Boston, Massachusetts when the family relocated to Florida in 1994. This lot is available for truck shipment to points along the I-95 corridor at a flat rate of $350. Torreano is best known for incorporating faceted gem forms in numerous mediums, including printmaking, sculpture and painting. His work has been exhibited at the Whitney Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York; the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago; and the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Torreano has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation and the Nancy Graves Foundation. Condition Each in overall good condition.
