Condition: The figure is a good condition commensurate with age, showing fine scratches and loss of the patination in part. The height of the figure, including the plinth, is 25 cm. The wooden base measures 17.5 x 22 x 3 cm. Endre András Tornay (1949-2008) Born in Romania, Endre András Tornay studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cluj in Transylvania from 1968 to 1972. From 1975 until his death, he lived in Hungary. Tornay worked mostly in wood, sometimes in stone and bronze. His sculptures are characterized by a highly abstract and minimalist design. His often symbolic works are frequently inspired by folk art. (Cko) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
