Warm and rich tones characterize his landscapes, as well as the present pastureland, which is determined by an atmospheric lighting. With its typical loose brushstrokes, this painting is a fine example of the plein air painting. Condition: The painting is overall in good condition, showing minor craquelure and slight scratches to the middle. Inspection under UV light reveals major areas of retouching to the sky and scattered areas of retouching affecting the landscape, as well as tiny touch-up to the fine cracks in the wood. The frame shows minor signs of use. The dimensions of the panel are 70 x 70 cm, and the frame measures 80 x 80 cm.
