      • Abraham Lincoln and Stephen A. Douglas: Debate Bronze.
        Dec. 03, 2016

Abraham Lincoln and Stephen A. Douglas: Debate Bronze.

        Est: $1,200 - $1,800

Abraham Lincoln and Stephen A. Douglas: Debate Bronze. Very well-done bronze depicting a dramatic moment in one of the Lincoln-Douglas debates. The Little Giant is speaking and making a point, while Lincoln listens intently, pondering an appropriate response that will "cut his opponent down to size". It is 11" tall overall. The base, made to look like wooden planking, is 9" x 7 1/2". It is signed on the back of Lincoln's chair: "Lily Tolpo 1990 © 26/150". It has a good deal of heft with a two-tone bronze and gold finish. Really nice.
