Long Jack Phillipus Tjakamarra is a renown Australian artist. He was among the first Aboriginal men to paint under Geoffrey Bardon’s influence in the 1970s, responsible for the Aboriginal art movement. Australian Indigenous art is the oldest ongoing tradition of art in the world. The Western Desert art movement has come to be seen as one of the most significant art movements of the 20th century.

Long Jack became a foundation member of Papunya Tula Artists. Long Jack won the Northern Territory Golden Jubilee Art Award (1983) and Alice Springs Caltex Art Award (1984). In the early 1990s Long Jack was Chairman of Papunya Tula Artists. With Billy Stockman, painted murals 'Widows' Dreaming' and 'Wallaby Dreaming'. Along with Billy Stockman, Kaapa Tjampitjinpa and other masters collaborated the important large 'Honey Ant Mural'.
