Bert Teunissen Sold at Auction Prices

The Dutch photographer Bert Teunissen was born in Ruurlo. Since 1996 he has been developing his photographic documentation 'Domestic Landscapes'. His results have been exhibited across Europe and the United States, including the Stedelijk Museum, the Prague House of Photography, the Aperture Gallery in New York and the Modern Art Museum Wakayama in Japan. Examples of his domestic landscapes have also been published in numerous articles and eight monographs, so far. The artist lives in Huizen, the Netherlands.

        Fine Art pigment print France, 1997 Bert Teunissen (b. 1959) - Dutch photographer Image size: 24 x 47 cm Very good condition Bert Teunissen continuously works on his photographic project 'Domestic Landscapes' which he describes as contemporary historiography For many years the Dutch photographer Bert Teunissen has been documenting hundreds of old European homes and their inhabitants. Taking a family-album-like approach, the artist intends to capture motifs which are especially threatened by substantial modernization programs. The present piece is titled 'Belin Béliet #2' and reveals an old resident of the small French village Belin-Béliet in a dimly lit kitchen. It is an early work of the artist and an impressive example of Bert Teunissen's 'Domestic Landscapes'. The Fine Art print was made on wove paper (fine art paper) and has been mounted on a mat. It is in very good condition. The image size is 24 x 47 cm and the size of the sheet is 42 x 58 cm. The framed overall dimensions are 63.5 x 79.5 cm.
