He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Carl Wurzinger, Eduard von Engerth, Karl von Blaas & Johann Nepomuk Geiger. Thanks to a state scholarship, Teibler spent 1882 in Rome. He worked in Vienna until 1885, after which he moved to Perchtoldsdorf, where he owned a studio in Scholaugasse. He painted a portrait of his father in 1877, which was acquired in 1905 for the picture gallery of the Most High Imperial House & exhibited in the "Modern Master Paintings" department. His work, Christ on the Cross 1909, an altar picture for the Perchtoldsdorf Hospital Church, has been in the Collection of the Museum in Perchtoldsdorf since 2014. Teibler's grandson Robert Colnago (1935–2019) also became a painter. OTHER NOTES: Good condition, framed under glass, original framing, some losses
