      Luigi Tagliarini Italian (1919 - 2007) Still Life with Jars, oil on masonite, signed lower right, in shadowbox frame. 19 x 11 inches Exhibitions: Tagliarini exhibited his works throughout Italy beginning in 1938 at the age of 19 at the Exhibition of Paintings and Drawings organized by the Province of Mantova "Dopolavoro Provinciale di Mantova". In 1950, he showcased his works in the "Mostra d'Arte Sacra", an exhibition of sacred art, in Cremona, Italy. Today, his works can be seen in exhibitions throughout Italy. Other Notes: Luigi Tagliarini was born in Sabbioneta in the region of Lombardy in Northern Italy. He studied at the Art Institute "Paolo Toschi" of Parma and concluded his education in art at the renowned "Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera" in Milan. His artistic ability was widely acclaimed throughout Europe for the realism he portrays in his paintings. He joined the Movement of Objectivist Painters, founded in Milan in 1959 by Ugo Celada da Virgilio. Tagliarini died in Casalmaggiore in 2007. Tagliarini was heavily influenced by the nature of his homeland, especially the valley surrounding the Po River which is depicted in the background of this still life.
