Ger Sweeney Art for Sale and Sold Prices

b. 1959 -

Born in 1959 in Castlebar, Co. Mayo.
Ger gained a diploma in Painting and Print from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology in 1982 and graduated with a BA Honours Dergree from NCAD the following year.

He lectured in Fine Arts, Painting and Print at GMIT from 1983 to 1985, before becoming Director at Artspace Studios, Galway.

He has had numerous exhibitions in Ireland, Europe and in the USA. His work is in numerous collections, including The European Parliament, Belgium, Office of Public Works, Dublin, Guinness Group, Dept. of The Taoiseach and Waterford City council, to name but a few and his awards include the GPA for painting and UNESCO for visual art and theatre.
