Erika’s work is expressionistic. Lyrical imagery. Full of colour, full of emotion, full of passion. Just right. You see it, you know it: you feel overwhelmed. By using colour, form and fantasy, emotions and character are flawlessly given shape.

An inspired artist, working from the heart. She cannot do it any other way, it is how she expresses her feelings. Her way of telling how she sees the world. With all the beautiful and less beautiful aspects life has to offer.

In her work she can express her emotions. Anger and grief, passion and happiness: they can all be seen in it. She thinks in colours, she sees them too. Thus her inner world takes shape and colour: in mixed techniques and acrylic.

She works from the inside out, there is no other way for her. Her way of telling how she perceives the world. With all the beautiful and less beautiful aspects life has to offer. Every day is different, and, therefore, every work is different.

The work enters the mind. Lyrical imagery, full of emotion, full of passion. Just right. Abstract and figurative, fantastical and fast. Running hues, cheerful shapes. She paints in acrylic. Both free work, and commissioned work.


For years she has had exhibitions all over the world. But now primarily in her ArtShop-cum-studio, close to Noorderhaven. There one can look, taste and try at length. There is so much to see.
