        MAURYCY STRYJECKI (Poland, 1923 - 2003) Untitled, 186. Acrylic on canvas. Size: 32 x 40 cm; 36 x 44 cm (frame). A boy situated in the centre of the scene holds a bird in his hands, looking directly at the spectator in an enigmatic way. The artist introduces us into a surrealist world where the vegetation shares the scene with elements typical of an interior, such as the sofa and a table with a small still life on the tabletop. The image is completed with a large dog in the background, a clock, a train and a pencil. Elements that transport the viewer to a dreamlike world whose aesthetic is close to children's illustration.

        MAURYCY STRYJECKI (Poland, 1923 - 2003). Untitled, 1986. Acrylic canvas. Signed and dated in the lower right corner. Size: 32,5 x 44,5 cm; 36,4 x 49,5 cm (frame). In this work of oneiric aesthetics the author places a completely naked young woman in the centre of the scene. The girl is playing her flute in a dreamlike mood, while around her numerous wolves are watching her. Set in a landscape, the silhouette of a large city can be seen in the background, which closes the composition. The subject matter and the way in which the young woman is presented make the image a surrealist-influenced representation in which eroticism coexists with infantilisation, which is evident in the way in which the figures of the wolves are depicted.
